This is a blog of my personal Bible study. I am doing this blog to share Bible verses and thoughts that come to my mind while studying the Bible. The Bible verses are mostly from the King James Version unless indicated otherwise or as noted when viewed on line.
II TIMOTHY 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. HEBREWS 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. II TIMOTHY 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Topic: The Promise? The Bible says everything we need to know about the Promise, telling us what the promise is and how to receive the promise (1 John 2:25; John 14:16-17; John 14:26; Ephesians 1:13; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-5; Acts 2:39), even letting us know that only Christ Jesus stands between all sinners and receiving salvation (the Promise) letting us know that the Promise comes from God the Father.
The Bible tells us that the Promise is also called (being saved). Receiving the promise is also referred to as to be in receipt of Salvation, which is also being in receipt of the gift of Righteousness, which is to be in receipt of gift of eternal life, which is to be in receipt of the Spirit of Christ, which is the power and wisdom of God, which is the Comforter, and also known as the Holy Spirit., and thus, receiving the promise happens when Baptized into Christ. And, the Bible tells us that a person must first confess having faith in Christ Jesus, before receiving the water baptism and that the person has six witnesses, three in heaven and three on earth, all united as one, testifying that the person to be baptized in water has received eternal life in Christ.
The Bible says: God “ hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world": Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:4-6); after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13). I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16-17): the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name (John 14:26). The Bible says, "behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). Wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4-5)".
Note: The promise is received by being baptized Every person must first confess having faith in Christ before receiving the water baptism: The Bible says, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God (1 John 4:1-2): Romans 8:9; Romans 8:16: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:38-39): that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:14): the Spirit of God dwell in you: Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit (note the number of witnesses mentioned (in comment number 8) of 1 John 5:6, now see verse 5:9 - Geneva Bible), that we are the children of God (Romans 8:9; Romans 8:16); he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance (Hebrews 9:15). And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life (1 John 2:25)" Note: the same verses in the Geneva Bible at www.GenevaBible.org. The King James Version Bible says, "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:39). "And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God; God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith; Romans 10:9-13 says, "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Note: Ephesians 1:4-6; but you must be born again. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God: One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son: Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? (Acts 11:15-17; Acts 15:8-9: Acts 8:36-37; Ephesians 4:5-6; 1 John 4:14-15; 1 John 5:7-11; Acts 10:47)?"

No, I'm not a Preacher or a Sunday school teacher. I am just a person who enjoys studying the Bible and wanted to share my study with you. No, I know it is none of my business whether you go to Church or not. I do not base friendship on a person's religion; I like good people, poor or not. I also think there are Christians, regardless of denomination, in all the Christian Churches. I'm a person who enjoys the outdoors: gardening, taking long slow walks at places such as zoos; sports such as hunting and fishing, football, track and field; all sorts of good music; I enjoy watching high school and college bands perform; and I like to watch old movies and old TV shows such as "Andy Griffin", Sergeant York, etc...
