ACTS 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Some one may tell you that apostles received the promise one way and the rest of us receive it another way, but the Bible says there is only one way for us all (Ephesians 4:5).
The Bible speaks of receipt of a Promise by those who believe in the gospel of Christ Jesus. The Promise is to be SAVED and/or to receive Salvation, and says every person who receives salvation, has received a "Comforter, the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of God and also the Spirit of Christ, Even the Spirit of truth, Who'll abide with you forever" (John 14:17; John 14:26; 15:26; 16:7): "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:39)".
God knows the heart and mind: Acts 15:8-9.
According to 1 John 5:5, every Christian comes by having faith in the gospel of Christ Jesus. 1 John 5:6 tells us that every person who believes in the gospel of Christ Jesus has overcome the world with Christ Jesus, as this verse is in reference to 1 John 5:5 which states, "Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?". Every person who has overcome the world is united as one with a Witness and that Witness is the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit of God.
"And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God; God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith;
Romans 10:9-13 says, "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God:
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son:
· Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his (Romans 8:9).
· He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself (1 John 5:10).
· The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God (Romans 8:16):
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? (Acts 11:15-17; Acts 15:8-9: Acts 8:36-37; Ephesians 4:5-6; 1 John 4:14-15; 1 John 5:7-11; Acts 10:47)?"

Where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal? 1 Corinthians 3:3.
The Bible says to me that even a baby Christian takes and loves milk (the simple spiritual truth about the law of the Spirit of life in Christ: Romans 8:2, Romans 6:2, Romans 6:6), and why (2 Corinthians 2:17, Galatians 6:11-18? I believe that the Bible tells me that baby Christians love each other and/or take and love spiritual milk. I believe the word of God tells me that all baby Christians have received the mind of Christ!
The Bible says that the old man (the soul (human spirit) of every male or female has received the mind of the spiritual of the world: Romans 5:12) and so we must be born again: suffer a spiritual death on the spiritual cross by having faith in the gospel of Christ, meaning this: all of us who have not yet been born again (John 3, 1 Peter 1:23) have received the mind of the spirit of the world (1 Corinthians 2:12), and so we are carnally minded (Romans 7:14-15, 1 Corinthians 3:3) , meaning that, until we receive the mind of Christ, we are not spiritually united with God, and thus, we are spiritually discerned (we are the dead: Matthew 22:32, Luke 9:60: and the dead were judged because their names were not written in the book of life - Revelation 20:12).

This blog is about the Baptist church. The verses I have listed are in reference to the King James Version which can be viewed at many sites on the Internet.
The Bible says God sent John the Baptist to prepare the way. In my opinion, John 14:6 is about Reformation that's discussed in Hebrews 9:8-11. The Bible says to me that God sent John the Baptist with a message about the Reformation which is also spoken about in Jeremiah 31:28-34, Hebrews 12:24, and Matthew 17:10-13: “And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him (see Mark 6:3-29) whatsoever they listed. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist (Matthew 17:10-13)."
Concerning the water baptism of Jesus: the Bible says that Jesus the Christ was never guilty of any sin (unrighteousness), that Christ Jesus had no reason to repent and be baptized in water for the remission of sin, because the Son of God was born JUST, meaning that Jesus was born righteous, born of the Spirit: yes, born from woman like us, but born clean of all sin, having NO need to be born again as stated by Jesus in John chapter 3. Please also see 1 Peter 2:22; John 7:18; 1 John1:7; 1 John 3:5. When a sinner is born again, his or her spirit is no longer united as one with the Devil, Satan, also known as the spirit of the world (1 Corinthians 2:12-14), a spirit which is not connected to the Spirit of God.
So, Jesus' baptism by the Baptist in water revealed Jesus to be the Son (the Christ) of God. Jesus' baptism on the cross was done to reverse what Satan did to all of us by what he did to the first son of God, Adam (man: both male and female - Genesis 1:27): to free us from our connection to sin and death, because of our connection to the spirit of the world (1 Corinthians 2:12-14) which is also stated in Romans 5:12-21 in reference to Genesis 3.
So, I believe God sent the Baptist to introduce the Way, the Truth and the Life (God's Son: John 14:6) and/or the Reformation, concerning the law of sin, of death, of forgiveness, and of the receipt of eternal life (to be saved and/or to receive the gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17), which is the promise (Luke 24:49, Acts 2:39), which is to receive unity with the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9), Who is also known as the Comforter, and the Comforter is the Holy Spirit of God (John 14:26), which is the Gift of Life which is in Christ (1 John 5:11), which is given to those who have overcome the world (1 John 5:5; 1 John 5:1; 1 John 4:15) because they hear and truly answered the Call (Revelation 9:9; James 2:7; Matthew 22:14; Hebrews 9:15; 1 Corinthians 1:24; Ephesians 4:4; Colossians 3:15; Revelation 7:14: God's blessing as is stated in John 3:16.
I believe the Bible says God is telling those of the world (Matthew 5:14; Matthew 13:35-39; Matthew 13:49; Matthew 24:3; Matthew 24:21; John 1:29; John 4:49; John 8:12; John 15:19; John 17:6-24) that He loves them and wants to give them eternal life, but that many are unwilling to give up their love for practicing unrighteousness (sin), and that God is sounding the alarm which started with a Baptist church named John. God through Jesus and through the Apostles of Jesus and by followers of Christ has and still are sounded the ALARM, warning the world about the DANGER that God has said is coming, an ALARM which signals the end of THOSE of the world, and end that is coming like a tsunami, and so God is warning Adam (man, both male and female) not to follow Satan, but to COME to salvation, to be saved while the ALARM about the "second death" is still sounding. Jesus has said that the "second death" will happen and/or come while people are sinning and/or when people are worshipping God, in a way similar to the day of Noe (Matthew 24:37; Luke 17:26-27 (Noah: Genesis 6:5-13) when Noah and his family was saved inside the Ark, back when God put an end to the evil works of those days.
Right now, evil works of the spirit of the world in those of the world, are being put to death by the Operation of God (baptism) through the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, each time a person hears and believes in the gospel of Christ: that Jesus was crucified to destroy man's connection to sin and death forever for each person who believes (God knows the heart) in the baptism Jesus received, a baptism (Luke 12:50) on the cross, not in a water baptism by a Baptist, and why?, because a Baptist must first hear what your *Witness bears before baptizing you in water.
Today, and/or these days, when you go to receive a water baptism at a Baptist church, meaning: a local church fellowship of believers of the gospel of Christ, know that these Christians believe that you have already heard and believe in the gospel of Christ, and that you are already born of God: united as one with Christ and that God is your Witness when you testify that you believe Jesus is the Son of God:
"And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, [here is] water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Acts 8:34-37). And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as [he did] unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith (Acts 15:8-9). Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify (1 John 4:12) that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God (1 John 4:13-15). Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 5:5)?
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God (1 John 5:1):
*For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (1 John 5:7-11).”

Some of us may have studied the book of Job for many years and still not know the meaning of the name Job. Some person out there may even be interested to know the meaning of that name. If you are interested in knowing the meaning of the name, feel the CALL, or just enjoy studying the word of God, then this blog is written for you.
According to the Hebrew Lexicon in Strong Numbers 347 and 3102, the name “Job” means Hated and/or Persecuted.
The Bible says, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you (JOHN 15:18-19).”
"Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows" (Luke 12:7).
LUKE 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: LUKE 12:9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. LUKE 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the *Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven. LUKE 12:11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: LUKE 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say (LUKE 12:7-12).
Job was a good person. Job loved and respected God even when Job was sick and in great despair. Job loved and respected God and showed his love for others; even when Job was being treated hatefully by family and friends, even while he was suffering a great despair from being hated by them, and even while being falsely accused by the Ministers of the Church who had evil intentions toward him, Job stayed faithful to God, he did not blame or curse God even when his wife advised him to do just that, even telling Job to die. But, Job did not even desire evil for those persecuting him. So, Job continued to love and respect God, and he prayed for his family, prayed his friends and prayed for all others who hated and abused him.
JOB 42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning:
JOHN 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
*I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20)

Instead of Wormwood being a great Star from outer space, Wormwood (Accursed; Anathema Maranatha), says the commentary in the Geneva Bible, is a Minister and/or Pastor of the, quote, “Church of Christ”, unquote.
This is a blog of my personal Bible study. I truly enjoy studying the gospel of Christ and hope you do too and will enjoy this study. Please note: most of the study material in this blog comes from a Bible which is older than the King James Version, "The Geneva Bible". I usually write and immediately post my Bible study while still studying, so don't be surprised to see errors, typing and otherwise. I also update the Bible study from time to time as I continue my study. This study comes from the book of Revelation.
II TIMOTHY 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. HEBREWS 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. II TIMOTHY 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17), if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead (Romans 4:24); But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:8-9).
LUKE 10:
18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven (KJV).
According to the Bible, Revelation 8:10-11, “a great star called Wormwood” falls from heaven and corrupts the waters. Quote, “And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter (Revelation 8:10-11)” Unquote: The Holy Bible, KJV.
However, according to commentaries (comments) in an older Bible Version, "The Geneva Bible of 1599", Revelation 8:10-11, of which you can view at www.GenevaBible.org, that “great star” is not what some may think or say it is, instead of Wormwood being a great Star from outer space, Wormwood (Accursed; Anathema Maranatha), says the commentary in the Geneva Bible, is a Minister and/or Pastor of the, quote, “Church of Christ”, unquote. The Pastor is said to corrupt the Scripture with false doctrine, thus corrupting many people (waters), yes, the Apostle John defines people as being the waters. People (waters) swallow (believe) Wormwater's false doctrine which deceives many waters (people). Then, deceived Stars (Pastors and/or Ministers) become Angels (Pastors and or Ministers) of darkness (Locusts), spreading Wormwood's false doctrine (the sting) all over the world, thus battling and/or working against the true body of Christ, thus keeping souls dead, and thus doing the work of the Devil to deceive people about the gospel of Christ concerning the doctrine of salvation.

Angels of Darkness (Locusts) are Pastors and/or Ministers who go all over the world teaching false doctrine: Revelation 9:1 (commentaries (comments) Geneva Bible).

Visit www.GenevaBible.org to review the Bible verses I've listed. You can also do a "SEARCH" to find a Geneva Bible at other URLs (Uniform Resource Locators). However, I prefer to view the Bible at GenevaBible.org, but I do study this Bible at other URLs. Also, if you find what you consider to be an error while studying the PDF (Portable Document Format) copy of the Geneva Bible at GenevaBible.org, contact "Steve" at his email address listed on that web page. Steve is in the process of listing the Books with comments from both the Geneva Bible of 1560 and 1599, using the "PDF" format, and I'm at best certain that Steve would appreciate hearing from you, as he has informed me in the past, that he wants everyone who desires to study the Geneva Bible, to have access to an error free as possible Version. Also, I wrote to Steve, asking him if I could copy and paste from the Geneva Bible at his URL and Steve gave me permission only if I would not be trying to make money. That reminded me of what I read in the New Testament, the Apostle Paul says he spreads the gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:8-9) without charge (1 Corinthians 9:15-18; 1 Timothy 6:10-11) and says to follow him (1 Corinthians 11:1) as he teaches and preaches the doctrine he received by revelation (Galatians 1:12) from Christ Jesus (Matthew 8:22).

This is a blog of my personal Bible study. I am doing this blog to share Bible verses and thoughts that come to my mind while studying the Bible. The Bible verses are mostly from the King James Version unless indicated otherwise or as noted when viewed on line.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Topic: The Promise? The Bible says everything we need to know about the Promise, telling us what the promise is and how to receive the promise (1 John 2:25; John 14:16-17; John 14:26; Ephesians 1:13; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-5; Acts 2:39), even letting us know that only Christ Jesus stands between all sinners and receiving salvation (the Promise) letting us know that the Promise comes from God the Father.
The Bible tells us that the Promise is also called (being saved). Receiving the promise is also referred to as to be in receipt of Salvation, which is also being in receipt of the gift of Righteousness, which is to be in receipt of gift of eternal life, which is to be in receipt of the Spirit of Christ, which is the power and wisdom of God, which is the Comforter, and also known as the Holy Spirit., and thus, receiving the promise happens when Baptized into Christ. And, the Bible tells us that a person must first confess having faith in Christ Jesus, before receiving the water baptism and that the person has six witnesses, three in heaven and three on earth, all united as one, testifying that the person to be baptized in water has received eternal life in Christ.
The Bible says: God “ hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world": Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:4-6); after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13). I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16-17): the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name (John 14:26). The Bible says, "behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). Wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4-5)".
Note: The promise is received by being baptized Every person must first confess having faith in Christ before receiving the water baptism: The Bible says, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God (1 John 4:1-2): Romans 8:9; Romans 8:16: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:38-39): that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:14): the Spirit of God dwell in you: Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit (note the number of witnesses mentioned (in comment number 8) of 1 John 5:6, now see verse 5:9 - Geneva Bible), that we are the children of God (Romans 8:9; Romans 8:16); he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance (Hebrews 9:15). And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life (1 John 2:25)" Note: the same verses in the Geneva Bible at www.GenevaBible.org. The King James Version Bible says, "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:39). "And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God; God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith; Romans 10:9-13 says, "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Note: Ephesians 1:4-6; but you must be born again. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God: One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son: Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? (Acts 11:15-17; Acts 15:8-9: Acts 8:36-37; Ephesians 4:5-6; 1 John 4:14-15; 1 John 5:7-11; Acts 10:47)?"

The Bible says we get saved by hearing the gospel of Christ Jesus (Romans 10:17), telling us that it's a free gift. The Bible says, "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13 NOTE: God knows our hearts) being born again by the word of God" (1 Peter 1:23). But wait! Where can we find the word of God, but in the New Testament Bible? How can we hear (know and/or understand) what is written in the Bible? We can hear, know or understand what the Bible says by many different means of communication; for example: reading the Bible with our eyes or our fingers if we are blind; we can listen to the Bible on the radio, television, CD, DVD, Internet, and a number of other electronic devices, or a Preacher. (Romans 10:13-14)?
(Romans 10:8-10).
(1 Corinthians 6:5-10).
Some of us may wonder: Is it wrong to charge people a fee to hear the world of God? Well, study the Bible and hear what the Bible says about that: (1 Corinthians 9:11-18).
In other words, if men got tired of hearing the Apostle Paul preach, they did not have the authority to fire him.
God wants all men to receive His Word. That Word is recorded in the Holy New Testament Bible.
(1 Timothy 6:3-7).

You know what; some of us sinners are for certain, more wicked than others. A person who constantly takes the name of our Lord God in vain, making it a common practice to insult peoples religion, is in my opinion, a low down immoral scoundrel.
What's also appalling these days is that it's getting harder to tell the difference between low down immoral scoundrels and "so called Christians": people, who see nothing wrong with being good buddies with these ungodly folks, seeing nothing wrong in building dirty sex movie houses, "so called" CHARITY gambling houses in your backyard, believing it's just fine to be part Devil and part Christian. No what I mean? I bet you do, those of you who no longer stand up for what you used to think was right.
I'm talking about lawfully standing up for what you know is right: for example, normal family moral values, etc...

All too often we read or see people debating about the difference between a Christian and “the dead” (a non-Christian) often sighting Matthew 7:1 “judge not least ye be judged” and Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.
I have often heard men argue and/or debate about how a sinner gets saved. One says it’s by faith and the other says it’s by faith combined with works. Well, the Bible says that even the Devil has faith in God, but that the works of the Devil (spirit of the world) is not good, because the Devil has not received the Spirit of Christ.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles (Matthew 7:15-16)?
Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matthew 7:21-23).
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?
What does it benefit the Devil to have faith? Can faith save him?
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar (James 2:14-21)?
What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found, for, if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God (Romans 4:1-2).
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:8-10).
The Bible tells us that the Devil has faith in God, but that the works of the Devil (spirit of the world) is dead and/or Death, and that’s the difference a Christian and “
the dead” (a non-Christian) regardless of being a Jew (a believer) or Gentile (non-believer). If a person has not received the Spirit of Christ then his or her works is dead (
Romans 8:9 Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
1 John 5:7-11: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
In conclusion, the Bible tells me that if a person has not received the Spirit of Christ then his or her water baptism is done in vain because he or she does not have a Witness when when he or she confesses having faith in Christ. Thus,
1 Peter 3:16-21; 1 Peter 4:6; 1 John 5:7-11; Romans 8:16; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:5; Acts 15:8-9; Acts 1:5; Acts 8:36-37; 1 John 4:15; Acts 10:47?

The Bible tells me there truly are angels. Maybe there is an angel watching over you! However, in my opinion - according to the Bible, an angel is not needed when Christ dwells in us.
And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul (Acts 23:11)
All we need?
I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world (Matthew 28:20)
the Spirit of God dwell in you (Romans 8:9)
the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you (Romans 8:11)
I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you (John 14:20)
Abide in me, and I in you (John 15:4)
in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him (Colossians 2:9-10)
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God (1 John 4:15): -->And God, which knoweth the hearts, purifying hearts by faith (Acts 15:8-9).
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son ( 1 John 5:10).
Let the word of Christ dwell in you; whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him (Colossians 3:16-17):
JOHN 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
JOHN 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
JOHN 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
I JOHN 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
I JOHN 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
I JOHN 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
God our Father, we thank You for being with us always through Your Power, Christ, - in the name of Christ Jesus, Amen.

The Bible speaks of receipt of a Promise by those who believe in the gospel of Christ Jesus. The Promise is to be SAVED and/or to receive Salvation, and says every person who receives salvation, has received a "Comforter, the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of God and also the Spirit of Christ, Even the Spirit of truth, Who'll abide with you for ever" (John 14:17; John 14:26; 15:26; 16:7): "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:39)".
Thought to ponder: According to 1 John 5:5, every Christian comes by having faith in the gospel of Christ Jesus. 1 John 5:6 tells us that every person who believes in the gospel of Christ Jesus has overcome the world with Christ Jesus, as this verse is in reference to 1 John 5:5 which states, "Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?". Every person who has over come the world a Witness and that Witness is the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit of God.
"And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God; God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith;
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
